Registration and Sponsorship Forms

What are the times?

Participants are scheduled to arrive at 6pm in order to check in, from 6:30-7 all teams will set to work creating their team posters. And from 7-7 everyone will be on their feet!

Do we have to register with a team?

No, you can register as an idividual and all the individuals with them form a team together. We will update the team rosters (online) as people register so you know who is on your team.

What do you mean "Cancer Never Rests"?

The Slogan is used as the theme of the night. We won't sit or sleep (although food is provided!) for 12 hours. It truly isn't that long, but you'll be tired by the end. The idea is that cancer hurts all the time and the kids affected by it can't go back to their dorm rooms to sleep and relax, as you can. So for one night you can empathize with what it is like to be them.

How do we get people to sponsor us?

Try neighbors back home or professors here! If you can find 12 people and get each to sponsor you with $10.00 for 1 hour, you will have surpassed our goal! Also look into businesses. If you know any get them to sponsor you, as many are willing. Let both individuals and businesses know that the donation is tax deductible. And for the businesses we will have banners all around the Gym and the BSC thanking them for their donations (so it's free advertizing for them!)

What do we do for team fundraising?

That is entirely up to your team. If you want to sell chocolate in the BSC or run a car wash or sell cancer bracelets or get a band and charge admission go ahead. If you email any of us (preferably publicity chair) we can advertize the event/sale for you to get the word out.

What do we do all night?

A Lot!
We have ice breakers, team activities, sports, dancing, live music, kids from Four Diamonds and activities to do with them. Throughout the night your team will be trying to win competitions and be spirited in order to gain points because you want to win the team prize at the end of the night!

We get prizes?

There will be raffles throughout the night that you can enter into. The individual who raises the most money gets a prize, as does the team that has the most points at the end of the night.

How do we get points?

You get points for the amount of money raised, for team spirt, for winning events, and good sportsmanship. Staff will be awarding points throughout the night for other reasons.
