Fundraising Ideas:
Penny War
This will be done the week before ETHON in the BSC. Each team gets a bucket with the team name on it. Pennies count as
+ points while dimes, nickels, quarters and dollars count as - points (-10, -5, -25, and -100 respectively). The top 3 teams
get all their points added to their point total for ETHON plus bonus points! The other teams just get their + points added
into their score.
And it’s not just the teams playing! Get friends who aren't participating in ETHON to help your team out with
pennies, or sabotage the other teams with silver and green!
The Event that Never Happens...
Send out
formal invitations to the campus and community at large with a full itinerary of the night’s lavish events. Have them
pay for a ticket, and never host the event. (Make sure people are aware of the not happening aspect) Just send everyone as
thank you note stating that their donation is tax deductible and their support is appreciated.
Polar Bear Plunge
Get freinds to sponsor you to jump into Lake Placida once it gets cold out!
(you may want to check with the bio. department and security before trying this).
Black Tie A-fair
Plan a black tie and formal gown event and then once all the participants arrive suprize them, its actually fair ground
style! Have vendors, messy food and stuff that people dressed in their best would typically like to avoid.
Stair Climb
Get X amount of money for the number of times you can run up and down the library stairs!
